Healthy Fried-Veggie Rice or Quinoa
We have all had fried rice, but have you had fried QUINOA? We’re going to show you a different way to eat quinoa. Get ready for this easy, but different recipe.
Grab the following items:
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1” peeled ginger
- 1 garlic clove, sliced
- ¼ cup diced red onion
- ¼ cup shredded carrots
- 1/8 cup scallions, thinly sliced
- ½ cup of mushrooms
- 1 cup cooked rice or quinoa
- 1/8 cup vegetable stock
- 2 tablespoons MADE BY COOKS Sesame & Ginger Sauce
Begin by following the cooking instructions on the package for the rice or quinoa.
In a non-stick frying pan, start with medium heat and add canola and sesame oil. Add the ginger and garlic, and stir to aromatize. Add in the red onions, scallions, and mushrooms, followed by the rice or quinoa, and sauté for 2 minutes. Put in the vegetable stock and sauté until it evaporates. On low heat, add carrots and the Sesame & Ginger Sauce and sauté for 2 more minutes to blend the sauce well with the ingredients. Serve hot.
